Face to Face with a midwife

All Bumpstart antenatal group classes are face to face with me, Lindsay Frame, I am an experienced midwife who has worked for NHS, Glasgow since 2013. I am willing and able to answer any questions you have, no matter how trivial you think they are, and can guarantee I have probably been asked the same question several times before. No topic is off limits. Your 4 week course is all about building confidence for your labour, birth and early days of parenting.

Make friends for life and have fun

An important part of Bumpstart classes is not just gaining valuable knowledge and information, but meeting other new parents who stay local to yourself. The other parents in your class will be due their baby around the same time as you and I hope that this will encourage you to socialise and support each other through the early days of parenting.

Honest, evidence based information

All information provided during your Bumpstart classes is up to date and without any judgement. I understand that there is not just one type of birth and I will give you all the information you need to make your own informed decisions and choices for you and your family.

What do you need to bring to class?

You do not need to bring anything with you as we will supply a light refreshment, however, if you wish to bring your own drink and snack feel free to do so. I encourage birth partners to attend classes if possible, as they can be amazing support, especially during pregnancy and the early stages of labour. Your birth partner can be anyone close to you whether it’s your mum, a friend, or someone else you trust to be by your side.
