"I will be offering inclusive antenatal classes for parents-to-be in the Southside of Glasgow."
My classes are informative, fun and honest and with my motto being 'knowledge is power', you are guaranteed to finish your 4 week course well prepared for your new arrival.
As a qualified midwife working for NHS Glasgow since 2013, my passion has always been working in the community setting. I have offered parent education classes for more than 10 years in both the South and West of the city and I am really excited to start my own personal, face to face classes.
Originally qualified as a graphic designer, I was made redundant when I was 5 months pregnant with my first daughter. Unable to secure another job, I enjoyed motherhood for a few years and volunteered as a breastfeeding support worker, before deciding on a major change in career. With two young children at home I started out on my amazing journey into midwifery.
Caring for thousands of families in the hospital and community setting, I believe my understanding of NHS services will enable me to offer new parents an honest insight into what they can expect in pregnancy, labour, birth and the early weeks at home with baby.
Many of the parents I care for report feeling excited and nervous about labour and birth, however, after attending my classes, which offer a good balance of information and humour, they said they felt more confident and prepared for the arrival of their newborn.
I am really excited to meet you all at your antenatal classes and feel privileged to be part of your journey.
